 About Placetel and Placetel AI 🎯 

Placetel (a subsidiary of Gamma Communications) is one of Germany’s leading providers of cloud communication solutions and part of the Gamma Group. With Placetel AI, we integrate artificial intelligence directly into business telephony.

 Our AI voice agents autonomously handle customer conversations, resolve requests, book appointments and automate recurring processes. This enables companies to scale customer service, sales and support efficiently and intelligently.

To expand Placetel AI in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Business Development & Sales Manager who will build and grow the Dutch market from an early stage. You will be an employee of Gamma Communications, but you will support Placetel from the Netherlands.

Location: In consultation, with hybrid preferred (office in Amstelveen)

Working hours: Full time preferred, but 80% is also possible

What you’ll be doing 📞

As Business Development & Sales Manager – Placetel AI Netherlands, you take ownership of market development and drive early customer traction by acting as the central link between the Dutch market and our internal teams. In this role, you actively shape the go-to-market strategy and positioning while ensuring early customer success. Working in close collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, you contribute to building and scaling our presence in an international environment.

  • Develop and execute the market entry and growth strategy for Placetel AI in the Netherlands

  • Identify relevant target industries, segments and AI voice use cases

  • Build and maintain relationships with early adopter customers and key stakeholders

  • Support customer acquisition in close collaboration with Sales and Presales teams

  • Accompany customers through onboarding, implementation and early adoption phases

  • Collect and structure customer and market feedback to improve product-market fit

  • Contribute to product positioning, messaging and roadmap discussions

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing and Sales teams across countries

What you’ll need 🚀

  • Experience in market development, business development, customer success or consulting

  • Background in SaaS, AI or technology-driven environments is strongly preferred

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Dutch is a must. German skills are a plus, but not a requirement.

  • Strong interest in AI, automation and cloud communication technologies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in an early-stage setup

  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented thinking

  • Cultural sensitivity and solid understanding of the Dutch market
